Pokhara University (PU) 


Pokhara University (PU) is a public and non-profit university of Nepal which was established by the Govt. of Nepal under University Act 1997. It is an autonomous institution that allows private sectors in affiliation in order to generate the revenue. The vision of PU is to become a leader in imparting quality education and the mission is to make herself solely the center of excellence. There are 65 colleges till date. Every year, more than 5000 students attend the Convocation Ceremony and get graduated. More than 1100 full scholarships are offered every year to the students in different faculties for the poverty stricken, disadvantaged, underprivileged and the students coming from the remote areas of the country. We have 53 programs and offer about thousand courses in various undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. PU is a fast growing university of Nepal. It has reiterated the need to internationalize higher education to meet global standards of professional needs of the market. Currently it has nearly 70 partners working with the 17 different countries of the world
